The Nitty-Gritty

The Detailed Process

Reach out

Contact us via email or direct messages on Instagram. The form feature on this site works well for general questions, but can't send images. You'll get a response pretty fast. We're teenagers- we're always on our phones.  Let us know that you're interested and send over a picture of your bike. Once we're confident that we can install the components to the frame, we will arrange a time to come pick it up. Pricing is negotiable. Throughout the week, we can send you progress updates. You'll also be given a charger and a key to start the bike at the end.

The Work

We...
1. Bring the bike back to one of our houses.
2. Clean the bike.
3. Create a plan for where the subsystems will be installed.
4. Spend a couple of days installing the electronic components.
5. Test to make sure that it works and that everything is fastened securely.
6. Bring it back to your house.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How much does this cost?
A: The electrical components will be around $100-$180. You can let us know if you'd like a more or less powerful motor and set of batteries. There will also be a service fee of $150 that will be split between us (so our moms continue allowing us to do this).

Q: How long will this process take?
A: It will take 4-7 days.

Q: What bikes are convertible?
A: Any bike that has a set of wheels and a chain! As long as it pedals and the derailleur isn't bent, we can make your bike a hybrid.
